Seattle, Washington | Man Seeking A Woman
Basic Information
First name
Nelson
I Can Speak
English, Spanish
I Would Describe Myself As
. I was born in Argentina, in the middle of nowhere. Graduated with a BS in Genetics, and a PhD in Molecular Biology. Moved to Seattle in 2002, where I worked at the UW (molecular biology, immunology, vaccines, cancer research). Started climbing in 2009 (rock, alpine, mountain rescue, etc.). Climbed a lot until 2013. From 2013 to 2014 got a BS in Nursing at the UW (full side story for whenever we meet, if you are interested).
. In 2014 moved to GA to work at Emory University in the same fields. Important milestone for me, that year I became a US citizen, something I really appreciate from this amazing country. While there I developed a start up on gene therapy for cancer with a colleague (adenoviruses that specifically target cancer cells). So far it hasn't fully pan out economically, but still hoping it may be a great brake. I have not yet been able to "convert" so much studying into economic freedom, but hoping perseverance will pay out. They tell you "follow the dream, not the money". Unfortunately, climbing gear and the free time to go climbing requires the second. Another topic for interesting discussions :-).
. In 2019 I moved back to WA, and I'm trying to catch up on what I love doing (climbing, being outdoors as much as possible).
. What am I looking for? A LTR, a life-long partner to grow old together that has the same love for the outdoors, that WANTS to be out there climbing and backpacking and skiing and snowshoeing and snow camping and much more. That should develop into a friendship that should make us happy until we are 100. Seems very simple, but it has proven to be pretty challenging to get.
. Children: I don't mind if you already have kiddos, but I am honestly not looking forward to babies any more. I have a 19 y/o son that lives in Argentina with my ex-wife, occasionally visits, so I have most of my time free for me at this point (weekends, I mean, I still have to work (M-F), something I kind of regret, but so is life, we can't get all that we want.
. Geography: Location, location, location... some of the ladies I am seeing with whom I believe we could be good life partners are not necessarily in WA. I am open to relocate to OR, CO, UT, MT, CA and may be WY, ID. Any place with mountains will do. I'm open to move inside WA if you are already here, or if you are open to relocate from another state. I'm flexible, hope you are to, otherwise I believe that to get something similar to what we exactly are looking for, it will be tough.
. So, if still reading and interested, I guess our next step could be a coffee, beer, video-chatting, travel to where you are, you travel here, meet in Nevada to climb in Red Rocks, have a conversation on life interests and see if we have some common goals, may be go out for a hike or some indoor or outdoor climb? You propose, I'll try to accommodate, as the gentleman I am...
Cheers!
